Looking for something New and Different
for your Summer Reading Program?
Look No Further!
Geoff Akins-Hannah has been entertaining and educating children worldwide for over 30 years with his gentle spirit, sense of humor, and gift of rapport. Inspired by his life-altering experiences as a teacher in Waldorf and Special Education, he created The Bubble Wonders show to convey the message that “Anything is Possible!”
In addition to presenting at thousands of libraries, schools, museums, and educational conferences worldwide, his corporate clients include Harley-Davidson, Toyota, Whole Foods, Treehouse TV, Macy’s, IBM, the National Geographic Channel, and Google!
Geoff was highlighted on CBS Sunday Morning and the Canadian children’s show, This is Scarlett and Isaiah. He is the co-author of the best-selling book, Empowered, and was featured in two additional books, GPS For Success, and The Art and Science of Bubbles!
His hour-long Program (45 minutes performance and 15 minutes Q&A) is full of amazing tricks with ordinary soap bubbles. He blows bubbles inside bubbles, connect bubbles together to make caterpillars, foggy volcano bubbles, etc. Why he even puts kids INSIDE a bubble!
Further, Geoff uses a variety of methods to get kids excited about reading and using the library as a resource for making their dreams come true. “Very often after my show there is a run on magic books. I’ve also developed a clever way to reward those readers who take action and follow their curiosity to discover something I’ve hidden right in the stacks!”
Geoff will incorporate the 2018 Summer Reading theme and weave it seamlessly into his performance as he does every year. For instance several states in the U.S. used the 2017 theme of “Build a Better World.” Geoff built a variety of wondrous bubble sculptures while talking about how building a better world starts within, using references from the movie, Field of Dreams…”If you build it they will come!”
The core message of the Bubble Wonders show is “Anything is Possible!” To prove it, Geoff attempts to create a Square Bubble. He fails over and over again…intentionally, in order to model Persistence, but he doesn’t give up.
Does he ever succeed in creating a Square Bubble? You’ll see!
Bubble Wonders is part science, part art, part inspiration and 100% fun! Combining the art and science of bubbleology with heartfelt life-lessons and encouragement along with a catchy theme song by Geoff’s wife, award-winning Canadian singer songwriter, Jen Hannah! Geoff met his future wife while they were both performing for children in orphanages in Vietnam. Geoff, Jen and their two (soon to be three!) kids relocated to B.C. to be closer to Jen’s family.
